The Reykjavik EDITION brings the first 5-star modern luxury experience to one of the world’s most sustainable capitals. Located in the historical, scenic heart of downtown Reykjavik by Old Harbor port, the hotel is a 45-minute car ride from the airport and just steps away from the Laugavegur Street, the city’s vibrant shopping district, and the Harpa Concert and Conference Center. The hotel is the perfect jumping off point for exploring the wonders of the region, with the renowned Blue Lagoon within driving distance and the Northern Lights visible in the city during the winter solstice.

Sustainability Initiatives +
When staying at The Reykjavik EDITION, guests join us in protecting our environment using our line of thoughtful amenities. Our guestroom keys and amenities such as toothbrush and hair brush are made from rapidly renewable bamboo, then packaged in stone paper, an environmentally-friendly and sustainable alternative to paper and plastics. Locally hand crafted carafes and clay cups are used to serve water for turndown service. We also use full size Le Labo toiletries and unwoven laundry bag to eliminate single use plastics as much as possible. On a broader brand level, EDITION Hotels unveiled in 2018 the initiative, “Stay Plastic Free” (SPF) to omit single use plastic from the hotel industry.
