Sustainability Initiatives +

We believe that sustainability is a collective action, so we try to engage our customers in this effort. The following policies have been established:

  • “Wash on Demand Policy”: replacement of towels & bed linen takes place upon request. Informative material is placed in all rooms, engaging guests to reduce water consumption.
  • Minimization of water consumption by installing water saving equipment, complemented by a BMS system for monitoring the consumption, aiming to the elimination of water leakage by 2025.
  • To cover non-potable needs and minimize the hotel’s contribution to the island’s water stress problem, a wastewater treatment plant has been established, reusing gray water to irrigate vegetation on the hotel’s premises, covering also other non-potable needs. Rainwater and backwash water from swimming pool filters are used for irrigation. To enable rainwater and graywater usage, two storage tanks have been built.
  • Cooking operations’ waste is recycled, as well as paper cartons, plastic & glass bottles and packaging material. We partner with a private company that collects the majority of recyclable materials transporting them to a recycling facility.
  • Energy consumption: A BMS system has been installed to monitor energy consumption. Also, hot water requirements are covered through solar water heaters & VRV systems are used for covering the hotel’s air-conditioning requirements enabling greater energy savings.
  • Our owned vehicle fleet consists 100% of electric vehicles.
