Londra Palace Venezia
VENICE, VENETO, ITALY
Overview
Londra Palace Venezia, is member of Relais & Chateaux since 2012 and with its 100 windows overlooking the Lagoon has an incomparable view on the entire basin of San Marco, San Giorgio and Giudecca islands and the Basilica della Salute. We are just a few steps from Piazza San Marco, along the Riva degli Schiavoni walk, right in the heart of the city, with its luxury shops, museums, churches, and palaces. The Hotel is located in front of the stop of the public transportation (San Zaccaria stop) and it features a dock for private water taxi. We can be easily reached from Marco Polo airport, from the train station of Santa Lucia and from Tronchetto or from Piazzale Roma for those who arrive by car. Today, after almost 170 years, the hotel continues to welcome travelers from all over the world, in its 52 rooms, of which 14 are junior suites and 3 suites, each one different from the other, with an original and contemporary look & feel, that, while affecting every one of the hotel’s assets, also maintains its unique and magical spirit, similar to that of Venice. It has been a meeting place of artists and men of culture, from the Russian composer Tchaikovsky to the French writer Verne, to Borges and the Italian poet D'Annunzio.
The Londra's LPV Restaurant with its sleek neo-classical decor offers a Venetian and Veneto cuisine of great quality. In addition, during the warmer season our Maison boasts a spacious terrace on the ground floor overlooking the lagoon where guests can enjoy the Venetian specialties of our LPV Bistrot & Restaurant and where they can sip the creative cocktails of our LPV Bar.
LPV Bar is an essential stop for tasting our interpretation of some of the most famous mixed drinks.
LPV Restaurant offers fine dining for those who wish to explore traditional Venetian flavors, while LPV Bistrot is the formula for a light and tasty lunch with vegetarian option as well. Both menus combine local and regional territory and respect both its traditions and seasonal products – a cuisine that’s only apparently simple, focused on exalting the consistency and flavors of its ingredients.
With the new furniture and décor that combine past and present, the interior design is fruit of meticulous historical research and becomes both an expression and protagonist of modern Venice, bringing new life to its own history and style: the silks, velvets, and brocades used within the hotel can, in fact, be clearly identified as traditional local elements, those inspired by careful study of the details found in historic Venetian residences.
