SINGAPORE, SINGAPORE
Overview
A Haven of Luxury in the Vibrant Heart of the City
Located in the civic and cultural district, the 155-room Capitol Kempinski Hotel follows years of restoration by acclaimed Pritzker Architecture Prize winner Richard Meier, bringing out the best of the neoclassical-style Capitol Building (1933) and Venetian Renaissance-style Stamford House (1904). This restoration masterpiece features a sophisticated design by celebrated interior designer Jaya Ibrahim.
Today, the Capitol Kempinski has pride of place in the integrated lifestyle complex, which boasts Arcade @ The Capitol Kempinski, Eden Residences, the legendary Capitol Theatre, and retail mall: Capitol Singapore.
Cloistered in the lobby level of the hotel is the Executive Lounge. Decked in warm hues and cocooned within triple-glazed windows, the cosy lounge sets a tranquil retreat for suite guests to enjoy a leisurely afternoon tea and house pours in the evening. The Bar at 15 Stamford offers a wide range of cocktail classics, including its signature Plantation 1840 rum cocktail - one of Singapore's largest collections amidst an intimate setting exuding a classic, heritage charm. Embark on a 'The Lost Highway' adventure blending bold, innovative cocktails with classic techniques. Inspired by the freedom of the open road, it’s a journey of flavours and sophistication, making every visit a unique discovery.
The hotel also promises no shortage of gastronomic adventure with the signature restaurant 15 Stamford Restaurant, as well as dining venues at Arcade @ Capitol Kempinski, showcasing Capitol Bistro. Bar. Patisserie.
The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore is a restoration masterpiece, featuring a design that stays true to the building’s colonial art deco and Venetian aesthetics, even as they have been updated for contemporary style and elegance. Precise lines and geometric shapes in the interiors bring visual continuity to the design aesthetic. Travertine limestone columns, piano rosewood lacquer finishes and Italian marble floors are a nod to the richness and opulence of Venetian design, and are beautifully juxtaposed against muted warm tones, from the embossed wallpaper to the original Chengal wood flooring. One can find patterns inspired by the Merlion, Singapore's icon, subtly featured on various touch points in the luxurious guest rooms and suites, an homage to the city's heritage and cultural identity.
Our mini bars are also well-stocked with non-alcoholic drinks, including juices and canned beverages, which are complimentary and refillable daily for suite bookers, ensuring the best experience for all our guests.
Iconic Singapore attractions, including the Gardens by the Bay, Singapore River, Merlion Park, the street circuit that hosts the Singapore Grand Prix, Chinatown and Little India districts, and the National Gallery Singapore, are steps away and easily accessible via the City Hall MRT station linked via an underpass.
