At The St. Regis Hotel, Doha we care about the environment and we advocate for environmentally sound and sustainable practices in our daily operation, below mentioned are some initiatives taken or ongoing by the hotel –
- Hotel Has designed its own Environmental Sustainability Policy that will be adapted by all third party operators as well in the hotel
- Energy / Water saving Practices in Guest Rooms, Public Area and Staff area.
- Educating Staff towards environment friendly practices.
- Waste management, to segregate minimum 3 types of waste from the hotel operations, at present, we are already segregating used cooking oil, hazards and toxic waste like used batteries and wood and carpentry waste. We are in process to start segregation of Food/ paper/Cartons/metals etc.
- Information about nearby parks, walkways, museums, public transport, places to rent bicycles are being prepared to make guests aware about local culture, ecofriendly ways to preserve environment and to reduce our carbon footprints.
- Reduction in water flow in Guest room taps and showers, sensor operated urinals and taps in public area to reduce water wastage.
- Conservation of endangered species by not having them on our menus as per Marriott International and Green key Initiatives.
- Our CSR policy includes fair treatment to every staff and complying with local and international labor laws.
