Monteverdi Tuscany

Castiglioncello del Trinoro Rustic Elegance 🗝🗝 MICHELIN Ideal for: Creative Souls, Nature Enthusiasts

CASTIGLIONCELLO DEL TRINORO, TUSCANY, ITALY

Our take

Perched in a medieval hilltop village with Val d'Orcia unfolding below, Monteverdi earns its reputation through restraint — serious contemporary art, serious views, serious quiet. This is where collectors and aesthetes come to disappear for a few days, not to be seen. If you're chasing poolside theatre or a resort that announces itself, look elsewhere. The magic here is precisely what it withholds. Come for the gallery, stay for the landscape, leave before the stillness starts to feel like a demand.

  • Stunning panoramic views of Val d'Orcia

Sustainability Initiatives +

We believe that sustainable practices are more than just a marketing tactic, they are intentional processes woven into the fabric of who we are and how we behave across all departments. This has become second nature to us, and below are just a few of our sustainable practices.

Facility & Grounds Management:

We prioritize energy management and lower emissions through waste separation and locally sourced construction materials.

Housekeeping:

Our bath products are all organic and produced cruelty-free; we use large dispensers instead of single-use bottles; the containers are made of recycled PET. No plastic bottles in rooms and we utilize paper-free in-room communication.

Food & Beverage:

We support local farmers and use organic and seasonal produce. We also work directly with local winemakers who produce biodynamic wine.

Spa & Clinic

Our Santa Maria Novella products are handcrafted in Italy. Use of local herbal products and customized products, in addition to using/partnering with high quality cosmetic/aesthetic brands compliant with European regulations.

Reception & Guest Experiences:

Linking guests with locals who share their passion for the area, history, food etc. (wine seminars, visits of local producers etc.).

Design & Experience:

Monteverdi itself is based on the mission of restoring historic buildings and their original nature and to maintain them for future generations; reusing original and recycled materials.
