Location & Accommodation
Located in the heart of San Pedro de Atacama, Awasi is just a few blocks from the main square and the historic church, allowing guests to experience authentic town life. The property is enclosed by a historic wall that once sheltered sheperd and herders, now providing intimacy tranquility. Inspired by the ancient Tulor structures of the region, our 12 circular rooms are built using traditional adobe, wood, and stone techniques, each at least 500 square feet and featuring private patios and outdoor showers that blend seamlessly with the desert landscape.
Our Cuisine
Our restaurant offers a sophisticated menu combining Andean and international flavours. Typical local ingredients, such as quinoa and native potatoes are highlighted, giving guests a taste of the desert while celebrating the region’s culinary traditions.
Excursions
Each room comes with a personal guide and vehicle, allowing excursions to be fully tailor-made to guests’ interests and pace. Journeys explore volcanoes, geysers, salt flats, and cultural sites, providing a unique connection to the land.
