Barefoot and unpolished in the best possible way — Ekies is Halkidiki stripped of its package-holiday sins. Local stone, considered design, a private sandy beach, and Bubo's Greek kitchen doing things that will make you rethink every taverna you've ever loved. This is for the couple who finds maximalism exhausting and wants pine trees over pool bars. If you're hunting for a nightclub strip or a sprawling resort complex with twelve amenities you'll never use, look elsewhere. Two or three nights here will ruin ordinary beaches for you permanently.
