Dromoland earns its keep: a working Irish castle on 450 acres, with falconry on the lawn, a championship course, a serious spa, and Michelin-recommended food that doesn't coast on the postcode. The rooms are properly grand, not boutique-grand. This is old-money theatre done without apology. If you need a buzzing bar scene, contemporary minimalism, or anything resembling urban energy, Clare is not coming to rescue you. Come for three nights minimum — anything less is just expensive jet lag.
