The Whitney puts you on the best residential streets in Boston — grab the complimentary bikes and you're at the Charles River in minutes, dog in tow if you brought one. It rewards guests who want the city as the amenity. If you're chasing a full-service hotel with a spa and room service theatre, look elsewhere — this isn't that. Two or three nights for the culturally curious, the architecturally obsessed, or anyone who knows Boston deserves more than the waterfront tourist corridor.
