Sustainability Initiatives +
As part of Hilton group, Waldorf Astoria Bangkok takes our commitment to CSR seriously since the opening of the hotel in 2018. We have joined HILTON to ban plastic straws, stir picks, and cocktail picks and replaced them with environmentally-preferable materials. For drinking water in guest rooms and for meetings, we use Tetra Pak packaging instead of plastic. These paper-based empty bottles are recycled to make roof for underprivileged local communities. we have converted to using biodegradable food wrap in our kitchen. We use reusable storage boxes for our foods in our kitchen fridges. We ask suppliers to remove packaging upon delivery and for them to reuse the packaging where hygienic. We are currently in the process of embarking on an in-room amenity program to reduce the use of single use toiletry products which is our biggest area of single use plastics.

We thrive on being an active member of all the communities in which we operate, and pride ourselves on having the most comprehensive approach to corporate responsibility in the industry.
