- Since the inception of Banyan Tree Samui, we have sought to be agents of social and economic development. We believe that our actions and inactions significantly impact our progeny, and that good businesses are also businesses that do good.
- One of the key pillars of our sustainability efforts is our Seedlings program, which supports local families, and nurtures young people at risk of societal exclusion by providing them with the motivation and means to complete their education in order to transcend the poverty cycle.
- We support the local community by hiring talent from the surrounding area, 97% of our team of 220 employees are local; providing a complimentary retail space for a local artisan with no commission taken from sales; as well as offering complimentary transport services for guests to access the nearby area and to spend at local businesses as per their preference.
- The promotion of the natural and cultural heritage of the area in which we operate is of utmost importance and we are proud to deliver a guest experience complete with bespoke locally-infused touchpoints and activities to highlight the uniqueness of the destination in which we operate.
