Ski-in, ski-out and genuinely meant — this is Beaver Creek for people who came to ski, not to be seen at a spa. The art-filled interiors punch above the lodge's modest footprint, and the alpine atmosphere is earned rather than manufactured. But strip away the mountain access and there isn't much resort machinery underneath. No sprawling wellness wing, no grand lobby theater.
