Ca’ Sagredo
VENICE, VENETO, ITALY
Our take
Sleeping inside a UNESCO World Heritage Site isn't a metaphor here — the frescoes are original, the palazzo is 15th century, and the Grand Canal is right there. Ca' Sagredo is for the collector type: someone who reads provenance before price and considers a Tiepolo ceiling adequate room service. Come for two or three nights, move slowly, and look up constantly. If you need a spa, a pool, or anything that resembles a resort infrastructure, Venice will disappoint you long before the hotel does.
