An 11th-century monastery outside Siena, rebuilt for people who want Tuscany without the tour groups — Gordon Ramsay's La Contrada anchors the dining, and the medieval cellar does the rest. This is a property that rewards stillness; the setting demands you slow down. Bring someone you actually want to talk to. If you need a city pulse, rooftop bars, or anything resembling a scene, you're in the wrong postcode entirely. Two or three nights minimum — less and you've missed the point.
