The Halkin runs quiet — residential-quiet — with 41 rooms, a 24-hour concierge who actually solves problems, and Ametsa earning its Michelin star without the theatre. This is old money's London, not new money's Instagram. If you need a rooftop bar, a buzzing lobby scene, or a spa complex to justify the rate, walk away. But for two or three nights of the city handled properly, nothing in SW1 comes close.
