Carved into the granite hillside above Petite Anse, this is where you come to genuinely disappear — private plunge pool, Indian Ocean sprawling below, nothing on the agenda. Honeymooners and the chronically overscheduled will find their religion here. But if you need a town, a scene, or a reason to put on shoes before noon, Mahé won't deliver it. The resort is the destination, full stop. Come for the seclusion; leave if you require anything resembling a cultural itinerary.
