This is 19th-century Swiss grandeur done without apology: the architecture earns its age, the spa pool is genuinely stunning, and the whole property operates at a frequency that rewards stillness. Bring someone you want to impress, or come alone and mean it. If you need après-ski chaos or a scene, Zermatt's village has both — just not here. Three nights minimum. Anything less is a waste of the view.
