Overview
Rosewood Munich opened in October 2023 as the brand’s first property in Germany and seventh property in Europe. Housed in two landmark, historical buildings comprised of the former headquarters of the State Bank of Bavaria and the adjacent Palais Neuhaus-Preysing, a former grand aristocratic residence, Rosewood Munich is ideally situated on Kardinal-Faulhaber-Strasse in the heart of the historic city center. Within walking distance of several of the city’s most popular sites and destinations, including central Marienplatz square, the Residenz city palace, Bavarian State Opera, and the Maximilian- and Theatinerstraße shopping districts, as well as world renowned museums.
Rosewood Munich offers 132 spacious guestrooms and suites designed to complement the property’s original façade and iconic stairways, which remain well preserved and contribute to the city of Munich’s ensemble of historical buildings. The property boasts an inviting lobby lounge and four distinct dining venues, which include a full service, open kitchen Brasserie featuring modern Alpine cuisine, the lively Bar Montez, the bright and charming Wintergarten, and newly opened Schanigarten situated on the sunny and picturesque corner of the iconic building. Rosewood Munich also feature a lavish retreat, Asaya Spa, which houses six treatments rooms, as well as an indoor pool, wellness, and fitness area. Additionally, the hotel includes extensive meetings and events spaces to accommodate a variety of private gatherings, conferences, and special events from 12 to up to 400 guests.

Rosewood Munich is a luxury hotel that prioritizes sustainability in its construction and operations. It retained historic facades and integrated modern features to balance old and new. Materials were carefully chosen for durability and environmental impact, and recycling was a priority during demolition. The hotel sources heat and cold from Munich City utilities for sustainability. Energy-efficient design and intelligent systems reduce energy consumption. The hotel incorporates green spaces and rainwater retention. Waste management includes a wet waste facility, and there's no separate underground parking to reduce the burden on the city's infrastructure. The hotel aims to offset carbon emissions and works with local experts and artists. Durability is a key design concept, and energy-efficient systems are used throughout. The spa and restaurant also prioritize sustainability, sourcing locally and emphasizing seasonal ingredients.
