Six Senses Laamu

Laamu Atoll Eco-Centric Serenity 🗝 MICHELIN Ideal for: Eco-conscious Travelers, Surfers

LAAMU ATOLL, MALDIVES

Our take

Laamu rewards the ones who planned to disappear. Surfers get Yin Yang on the doorstep; everyone else gets overwater villas, a spa that actually earns its reputation, and garden-to-table meals that make the Maldives feel less like a postcard. The journey from Malé is long — domestic flight plus speedboat — so arrive knowing that's the point. Come for five nights minimum or don't bother. If you need a bar crawl or a city within reach, this atoll will frustrate you beautifully.

Notable Features

  • Yin Yang surf break
  • Organic garden-to-table dining
  • Award-winning Six Senses Spa

💡 Insider Tip

"For a once-in-a-lifetime experience, book a sunset dolphin cruise. The playful pods often come up close to the boat."
