Our take

Perched on a cliff above Sentosa's treeline, this is where Singapore's frenetic energy simply stops. Peacocks wander the grounds unbothered, the So SPA earns its awards, and the French-accented polish feels genuinely considered rather than cosmetic. Come here to disappear for three or four nights — spa days, long lunches, nothing urgent. Skip it if you're chasing rooftop bars and Marina Bay's skyline theatre; the city requires a shuttle, and that distance is the point. For some, a dealbreaker. For the right guest, the entire appeal.
