Seven centuries of Florentine history are connected with the Excelsior or rather on which it stands. The present hotel came into existence in 1927 from the merging of two neighboring hotels (De la Ville and Italie).
Centrally located on the banks of the Arno River, in the heart of the historic center, nearby the most famous works of art and elegant shopping streets, the Hotel Excelsior is just a few minutes from the main railway station and conveniently accessible from all parts of the city.
