Located on Lafayette Square, across from the White House, the Hay-Adams offers guests Washington DC 's most prestigious address with views overlooking the White House, Lafayette Square and St.John's Church, the "Church of the Presidents". The hotel is just minutes from the Smithsonian, the Washington Monument & the Mall, as well as convenient to Metro stations and the convention center.
The Hay-Adams offers 145 guestrooms, including 21 suites, all of them recently renovated and featuring views of the White House, Lafayette Square or St. John’s Church, the “Church of the Presidents.” Lavish décor including ornamental fireplaces, intricately carved plaster ceilings and balconies adorn selected rooms. Soft tailored upholstery combined with luxurious linens make these guest quarters among the most elegant in the world. Custom linens from the best European manufacturers cover our beds. Marble bathrooms with all brass fixtures, digitally-controlled heating and air-conditioning, as well as complimentary high-speed Internet access and CD player are provided in every room. Luxurious amenities and attention to detail meet the needs of the most discriminating of tastes.
As Washington, D.C.’s destination for power dining, The Lafayette Room offers superb contemporary American Cuisine and attentive service in a stately and elegant setting for breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. With windows looking out over Lafayette Park and the White House, this sun-lit dining room is unique in Washington and is certain to complement any dining experience. Breakfast is served during the week from 6:30-11am; lunch 11:30am-2pm; dinner 5:30-10pm. On the weekend, the restaurant is open from 11:30am-2p.m. Off the Record Bar is Washington, DC ’s place to be seen and not heard. Favored by locals for its creative dinner menu and exceptional wine selection, Off the Record provides a relaxed atmosphere for evening dining and entertainment. Open Sunday-Thursday, noon to midnight and on Friday-Saturday, noon to 12:30am. 24 hour room service offers a choice of full meals and light snacks.
